Thanks Picus! Just installed today. Not to hard. Felt like I was going to snap the bumper a couple of times. Hands are too big!!

Thanks Picus! Following your instructions, it took me less than 5-7 mins total.

question here, do you guys push down on the clips or pull the clip upwards towards you while you pull the grill out?

There is a little tab in the middle of each clip that you push down on at the same time as you are pulling the grill out toward the front of the car.

I tried last night and today, I still can't do it. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I just can't do it. I can get behind to where the clips are and I can push down, but I can't pull out the clip.

Once I push the clip down, it doesn't come out. When I try to do another one, the first one clicks back into place. I have no idea how you guys are doing it. Maybe I'm just stupid.

I had difficulty putting the 4 torx screws back into the bumper cover. The bottom clip wouldn't thread the screw. Only got 2 in back on my own.

WHile you unclip the clips, you have to place your hands in the kidney slats and gently pull forward with pressure while unclipping the rest of the clips...each one unclip and having the grill pulling outwards

I used a skinny long flathead screwdriver to get in there, otherwise, find someone with small hands.

Ok Finally took time off to settle down and relax. Now the task at hand is to remove my grilles and put on my Matte Black Grilles from Bimmer Performance store and it took only 10 mins!!!!! What I thought was easy is to unclip the bottom clips first then use a little screw driver to get that difficult clip near the headlight. Then everything else came off easy. Repeated again on the other one and bam all off. Presto my new Matte Black Grilles are on woohoo!!!! Will post pics soon.. Thanks for the help everyone!!!

Just wanted to thank Picus for putting this DIY together. Was really helpful when I replaced my grilles last night - job took about 15 minutes from start to finish.

Took out the Grilles in less than 10 minutes, Big Thanks for the DIY.
Spent all day sanding the chromed grilles and painting in Mat black, after applying a primer.
Result is good. leaving the grilles for a full 2 days to dry.
Worried about scratches later on
