The 335xi enthusiast community will miss you.

I'm assuming you're keeping the nitrous for the vette? If not, I may buy the nitrous wiring from the jb4 as well as all of the nitrous hardware. ITs curious that you're parting out shortly after hooking it all up though... Did something happen?

I didn't see it listed, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Wish I would have seen this thread sooner, would have bought the vbox quickly.

Again, we'll miss you! Say goodbye to perhaps the ballsiest xi modifier.

No nitrous on the Vette, first mods will be some basic bolt ons and then a blower. The nitrous worked as I thought it would, basically putting the 335xi on par with the FBO + Meth 335i. The main issue for me was that I had taken the car too far and it's primary purpose, being a DD, got in the way of my mods for it. Had to step back and ask myself if I really wanted to use it as a 'project' car, or if I'd rather get a car I've wanted for a long time as my project car. The 335xi is awesome, but a blown Vette is much more fun as a 'project' car

My kit was a used Edelbrock setup so max it's worth $175, and would probably cost $50+ to ship. I'll just put it up on craigslist since I still have the throttle spacer and I'm sure someone will buy it for their truck

I've learned a lot from pushing the limits of the 335xi, I'll be putting up some notes from my testing and such on n 54 tech and hopefully other XI guys can use that information. I am going to miss full throttle from a stop, very few 400whp cars that can do that and just slingshot away

Also, unofficially since I had no SD card, the 335xi on 3850lbs did a 9.7s 60-130 on 0% slope. I had predicted a mid 8s 60-130 on a large nitrous shot with a 3% slope, so I feel like my estimates on performance were pretty much spot on. It's too bad because if I had sprayed in 1st and 2nd gear, I think the car could see 10s and trap in the mid 120s.

I could never get clean nitrous spray from a dig, rolling into the throttle seems to settle the AFR and makes a 60-130 possible (actually 50-150...lol). I'm thinking a more expensive "progressive" nitrous setup could be the answer there, or maybe a flash / piggy combo that has more fueling /shrug

We think alike. I found my way into an "elaborate" meth set up, immediately starting thinking about N20, then had to calm myself down and remind myself of those same facts. DDs on nitrous? Poor choice, I'd tell myself. I'm going to find my way into a different DD by the end of the year. I look forward to your data and putting my 335xi away to gradually piece together a horrifically terrifying AWD monster. The thought of an upgraded TC, 6AT, RBs and N20 is worth waiting to do right, no matter how long I have to wait

Looking forward to your data. Once all of the puzzle pieces are put together properly, I'll get silly with it, rest assured. GLWS and the transition to your next platform. Much more promise in the vette scene than the 335xi scene
