Pad Sizes??

I have a PC 7424 but I ordered a Makita 9227, I want to be able to use the size I choose for both(6.5" or 5.5"). I know 6.5's dont work well with the PC but is there any cons about using a 5.5" with a Rotary other than the size difference?

I have both types of polishers as well and haven't noticed there to be any problems when interchanging the pads. The rotary doesn't get used THAT much anymore so this is just MHO.

They put that package together. I think they only sell the 4 and 6 inch pads so they package the 6 inch counter weight and the backing plate in their packages. The actual pc should have come with the 5 inch counter weight on it, and you can buy 5 inch pads for it. Really it comes down to what you can get/prefer. I like the 6 inch pads because it doesn’t take as long. Some people like smaller pads because they can get into smaller areas with it. It all depends on what you like.

Just got my PC 7424 from DetailImage, and I ordered some 4" pads to go with it. Is there a need for a specific counter weight for the 4" pads? I know it comes stock with the 5" weight, and DI supplied the 6" weight, but nothing came with the 4" starter set from them.

Thanks in advance!
