Hey guys. Some guy In the parking lot pulled out and ripped off my front bumper. Only thing damaged was my M bumper. My question Is since the bumper is aftermarket how will this affect insurence?

It wont matter. Although they may only pay for the stock bumper which will more than likely be more expensive than the M one

They will more than likely just quote the job using a OEM style bumper. That being said most insurance companies originally quote using non-oem parts so the bumper may not be as expensive as your old M-Style. Just a heads up.

Ask them to quote using all BMW parts. You may get some push back though.

Depends on the adjuster and the policy. My basic policy states they will cover up to 1K in aftermarket parts per claim. So the RIGHT thing to do would be to figure out the cost of the aftermarket bumper (quick google search) and pay to have it installed, painted, and replaced, less your deductible. If the adjuster is inexperienced or lazy he/she might just write an estimate for a remanufactured OEM bumper. The OEM R/M bumper is probably still over $350 so you're winning either way.

I had the M bumper but my car isn't a m3 so I want the mtec now
