Is this tire worn? Picture included

Its the tire on the left. It looks like it has a lot of tread left, but the tire is worn down on the edge. Is it still good?

The tire is potenza re050a runflat 255/30/19

Garage List
Without a question, there is not much meat left on the left one. Think of it this way, by the time you mount them on your rim and spend the time doing so, was all that work worth it to take them back off in a couple months? (Assuming they are not yet mounted)

You know 4mm is the point where tyre manufactures recommend to change your tyres. After that tyres loose a lot of performance and safety.

Thanks guys. The reason I was asking is because someone is selling these tires as "brand new 95% tread" but I thought that wear pattern didn't look normal.

Basically he is saying that tyres have at least 7-8mm tread left.

Now that you mention it the left tire looks like it has some wear along the edge that may have been caused by camber or alignment issues. I had good luck with set of used tires I found on the forum, but definitely look for even wear across the tire.

Also, Potenzas come new with 10/32", and the wear bars are at 4/32" for reference on estimating remaining life.
