After my month of repairs, BMW NA offers one month's payment
Some of you may remember my post about my 2010 E92 335i that is a CPO with 22k miles.
Long story short, the car has been in the shop 3 times since I bought it 6 weeks ago for the same fuel injector problems. The service department did a piss poor job of addressing the issue, and it got so bad that I finally voiced my complaint to BMW NA. None of the managers would address the issue even offer a sincere apology, so I took my problem elsewhere. The dealer finally agreed to make or reimburse me for my first months payment on the vehicle, which was $575, so I guess it was dealt with fair enough. I would have liked to return the car, but the dealer refused. Wondering now what they would have done if I said the one months payment wasn't enough or satisfactory. Anyway, when push comes to shove with the stealerships, go to BMW NA. Last edited by G30Nashville; 11-08-2013 at 06:45 PM.. |

My advice. Familiarize yourself with the "Lemon Law" for your state. Speak to a lawyer that's well versed in the law and if they jump all over it like white on rice, put on a shit eating grin!

What's the logic behind $575? You don't lease a 2010, right? More like take the car back, and refund the full payment price. Reminds me of that movie pain and gain, you work hard, you do what you're told, and what does life serve you? A shame sandwich with a side order of s***!

OP, what number at BMW NA did you call? I found the Customer Relations department at "BMW NA" to be totally useless. The contact number I used was the one in the Owner's Manual. All they told me was they would call the Dealership to try and resolve the problem; BFD.
In reality the Customer Relations department of BMW NA is a just call center located in Columbus, Ohio. When I asked their "complaint resolution specialist" for a phone number to someone in BMW NA Headquarters in New Jersey they told me they are not affiliated with BMW NA in New Jersey and could not get a phone number. When I went back to the dealer and asked their Customer Relations Specialist for a contact at BMW NA HQ in New Jersey, I basically got told "pound sand". So if you have a real point of contact at the real BMW NA in New Jersey, I'd appreciate it if you could share it with me. Thanks. |

For me the survey that gets send out after warranty work really gets people's attention. At least the dealerships I was dealing with all wanted 10/10 scores, and there was a field in the survey that says some thing like 'do you want bmw usa to contact you regarding your response to this survey.' Got an email from BMW USA customer relations within 2 weeks.

Tried that one, it just rings over to the Columbus, Ohio call center.
When I asked the Resolution Specialist for a NJ phone number he started to give me one, which I soon realized was just the 1-800 number in the Owner's Manual, WHICH I WAS ALREADY TALKING TO HIM ON. THAT'S what really pissed me off. I've been pissed for 3 months now. |
