Wheres the Growl ?

I distinctly remember a notable growl on test driving 330i's ... I have yet to push the new car much beyond 4500 RPM ....... and am in late break in with 1300 miles ....... but on a few occasions have pushed it down pretty hard ...... not dissapointed in performance, but lookin for a little more noise ...... where did it go??

Anyone know when the reputed "exhaust valving" opens up??

It'll come with more miles...mine is more mean sounding now with 7200 miles on the clock than it was at 3000 miles. Be patient my son...

just pass 5500 rmp and then it really kicks in. Give it a few more thousand miles on the clock, and it just keeps getting better with age.

i have about 2500 miles or so, and want more sound.

think even later down the road, it won't be enough for me. hopefully somebody develops a nice intake system that works well and is affordable.

My car turned into a growling beast at around 1500 miles.

What a difference, I have step and when its in DS the thing just wants to go fast.

Keep the revs up. It's never going to be the same as an e36, just like the e46 was muted compared to the e36, the e90 is muted again, but moreso in my experience.
