335d engine cover removal
It's time for fitting my crd-t tuning box on the 335d.I've only had it lying about for a few months!
I've had a look and there are five hexagonal bolts that need removing. The main problem looks like the rear right bolt which is hidden. What tool are people using to take the cover off? I have searched but I'm getting mixed messages. Some are saying to just pull the cover as they are only push clips. However, they do seem to be proper nuts requiring a proper tool (not me!). Cheers in advance... |

you need a star screwdriver bit to take out the 5 bolts but you need to remove the black plastic cover along the base of the windscreen otherwise you cant locate the cover back on properly you aslo need to remove the oil filler car and its best to put a clean rag in the hole to prevent anything unwanted falling in!

Like Johnny said for the head size
Remove the plastic casing for the tubes at the back. Lid pops off easily then push your nail into the grooves of the 3 bottom clips and if will come free. Then I use a flexy screwdriver bit to get the remaining screw out. Then just carefully slide the cover forward |

i took the microfilter housing off because berfore i did that i tried to fit the engine cover back on and it rucked up the sound deadening and it rattled like hell the only way i could stop it was to remove micro housing so i could place the engine cover from above, just my experience.
