Exclamation Plasti-Dipping Company - UK? Where? Who? Help!

Hi All,

As some of you may know from my other threads, I am creating a one-off 335D E90. I plan to do nearly every mod possible (stage by stage) I do plan to keep the car until the engine packs up and then I will be doing an engine swap.

Anyway, back to the point. My car is being wrapped in 3-4 weeks! I am in two minds about my wheels being black. I have been quoted £250 for a full refurb and respray (which is quite reasonable). I'm not sure if I want to take the plunge just in case I am not happy with them.

So I am thinking to get them Plasti-dipped Matte Black and see how that looks (If I like it, I will then take the plunge and have them sprayed)

Problem is, I cannot find anywhere so far in the UK that provide this service..

Can anyone put me in the right direction for this work?

Please see attached photo of wheel and vehicle (pre-wrap).

Thanks!

Ryan.

Without sounding rude I would sell your current wheels add the £250 and buy some new ones

and plastidip isnt difficult to apply yourself, i certainly wouldnt pay someone to do it.

just make sure your wheels are clean, and spray it on!

What colour are you getting it wrapped?

It seems in everyone's quest to have a "one off" car, they are all doing the same thing.

No offence taken, yeah I guess I could. Only got these wheels in November.. I do like them but don't think they will suit the car once wrapped matte blue..?

Decisions!

I think I'm going to take your advice and try it! Do you think the wheel as it is will suit a matte blue look?

Thanks

Fair point, but tbh I haven't seen it done much on the E90. Especially my model 335D. I am getting matte blue but not the common "3m blue" I am using a darker blue and having some body work fitted..

not long to go!

the wheels are not to my taste, and i would change them personally.

but its not my car!

one thing i would say about plastidip, is make sure you put enough on, if you only do a couple of light coats, it can be a NIGHTMARE to remove. if done properly you can just peel it off.

check out the dipyourcar tutorials on youtube if you are unsure.

If you can sort me out with a decent quality high resolution photo I'll photoshop them black for you for free!

If you do want to plastidip them, do it yourself, sod paying someone to use a spray can

I tried them black and they just disappeared!
It looked like there were bits of brake disc missing, so I did them dark grey instead

Thanks man! Great effort!

I may consider leaving them how they are until the wrap, and the reassess the situation. Only thing is, I am going a long way to get the wrap done and they are willing to spray the wheels for £250 incl refurb. Thinking might as well get it all done in one hit..

Thanks again!

As others have said already, I'm also not keen on them (sorry dude). Personally I'd say save your money and get them sold. A nice set of LM reps would really make it once the wraps done IMO...
