I'd go for a Mondeo Titanium X. If that thing had a N54 engine i'd have probably have bought it
The 140hp Diesel Mondeo is more economical than the Audi A4, don't be fooled into thinking other wise. The Titanium X is loaded with toys, whereas with the Audi/BMW you'll just get some seats and a steering wheel. The Mondeo and Insignia are huge. Ford and Vauxhall have really increased the size of their cars in the past 10 years. The Mondeo estate is more a match for a 5 series / A6 than a 3 series / A4. Don't get worried about depreciation either. All cars depreciate. Things like Mondeo's more so, but that means you can buy a hell of a lot more car for your money in the second hand market place, or just spend 3/4 grand less. |

6,000 miles per year!!
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-car...8181?logcode=p Bullet proof running gear - not much to go wrong. 6,000 miles a year = a few £100 extra to fuel. The residuals are pretty strong - unlikely to depreciate significantly. Modern looking and many still under warranty. You know it makes sense. Not just "man maths" neither!! ^ Edit - Hadnt realised it was Cat D but you get the picture. Big petrol engined cars are the way to go.. |

As a side note. Last Honda I had was an old CRV which I bought for £1k. Ran it for a year, never a single fault, never serviced it. Stuck it on ebay just after Christmas, got 25 enquiries in 24 hours sold it for £1.5k within 48 hours. Bangernomics

The FN2 type R was 3 door only so it's a bit like comparing an e90 and e92. The new model Civic is bigger and it's 5 door.
