NE1 else not really loving the run flats?

I have 2 issues with the runflat tires. I intend to order a 335i with performance package in Feb/March for late May delivery. I will lease the car. Here are my concerns. The run flat tires are not only expensive, but they also have poor treadwear Also there is not a decent run-flat allseason tire to use that is not even more expensive with decent treadware. What I am figuring that will do is this. I will run the OEM tires and wheels in the summer. When they get close to the point where they will still have enough tread on them to pass lease turn in inspection, I will take them off of the car. I will buy a second set of rims and put Ultra Performance non RF all season tires . I figure that the rims and non run-flats should not cost that much more than the RF tires alone. Plus they will last longer and give the car some winter weather capability. BTW, I would not buy really expensive rims, but would probably buy new transponders to be installed for the tire pressure monitoring system. (another $200 extra) . I figure that I could then sell the wheels at lease end. Any thoughts?

I don't have a problem with the run flats. Since I only have about 1100 miles on my 335 I can't give you any insight as to life expectancy.

However, as to ride and handling, I went through two sets of Pilot Sports in the 4 years I had my G35 Coupe. My run flats seem to handle about as well as the Pilot Sports. Plus they are way quieter than the Michelins.

I won't be swapping out the rft for non-run flats. I bought tire insurance for the one or two punctures I expect. I'll probably pick up ONE OF THESE as well.
