Idea to fix E90 weird grill and mustache, this should work what do you think?

I went ahead and photoshopped a few pictures I found around here. Let me know what you guys think of those fake facelifts...

I did something similar to my old E36 M3 where I removed every other slot on the grill, it turned out really nice. I might increase the thickness of the remaining slots and paint them titanium like of the X5 4.8is. Then use black vinyl to curve the mustache just a bit.

EDIT: How about some mesh?

There is the 4.8is grill which to me looks really good.

Nice effort/idea. But truthfully, I don't like the half-as-many grill slats look. Looks like it got its teeth knocked out. And there is an indentation in the E90's hood where the "mustache" lies. You can cover it up w/ photoshop, but it would look like a hack job in person if just painted in.

I think toning down the mustache like you have is a great idea but I would keep all the slats. The only thing is, idk how good you could make vinyl on the mustache to look like it is meant to be like that.

From looking around the forums, it looks like the mustache tips should be easy to trim and round out.

Anybody willing to remove them and place some trimmed pieces there to see what it looks like other than on a photoshop?
