Best suspension for a daily car?
I have about 70k miles with stock suspension. What is my best option to upgrade to a more comfortable ride? I already have new tires coming in soon. This is my daily car so I'm not racing, plus it's only a 328

pls share, where have you learned that coilovers are more harsh? most coilovers have stiffer spring rates but good struts to back up the stiffness and give you a more comfortable then OEM ride at stock height

yea all coilovers give you are spring rates and struts that can handle a lowered ride longer then oem suspension. For your application i would go with either or, any reputable brand willl give you a smooth ride, teins, kwv1,2,3s, ast, Ohlins, BC racing. Any of those at stock ride heights will be comfortable and durable, likely more then oem

Not harsh but stiffer for sure and you can set the ride height from stock height all the way down to scraping. I like the coilover because the the spring and struts are matched and there is no question if they will work together. You want a more "comfortable" ride than stock? You want a softer suspension? I have no idea who has that.

Yah coilovers are definitely not harsh I was kinda scared alittle but once I installed them (kw v1) I was pretty surprised how good they are. You do feel the road but it isn't harsh at all it feels like it should feel form BMW. You know what is in the road but you don't jump out of your seat or get bangs from regular road imperfections is nothing close to as quite and soft as an acura but I feel this is how a BMW should feel. Also I'm pretty low now slammed but a decent drop my fronts are alittle lower than flush and my rears are at least . 75-1" below the top of the tire. So at close to stock height you should even better due to more travel

For your application I would recommend the Koni FSDs and maybe some different springs. Great combination for spirited daily driving without the 'harshness' of coils!

KW Street Comfort is not harsh at all! It is firmer than stock spring/shock combos but absorbs hard impacts much better w/o the big 'bang' you get from spring/shock combos.
OP: if you don't want dampers valved with springs just try non rft's with new dampers like Koni sport and set the rear shock rebound 1/4 turn from soft. Skip the fsd's; they're inconsistent.
