MingKun - 335i Daily Drive Build :p

Hey guys, I've just purchased an 09 335i with DCT.

I've done a lot of research and I guess I'm starting a thread to see where I am going to go with my car.

I won't be tracking the car a lot as I have the Evo for that and it is simply my daily driver / hard parker.

The height of the car at the moment I am quite happy as it is sitting on the M-Sport suspension with M-Sport 18 inch rims thus I want to just do some performance work first before purchasing new rims (also have new pilot super sports sitting in the garage to put on once I get new rims).

The general consensus is the basics, intake, JB4 and all other bolt ons applicable so I will be getting a JB4 + intake.

That said is there any reason why I shouldn't be going flash tune over a piggyback because this is the first time I've used a piggyback solution on the car.

Secondly I am looking at the Eisenmann Race Exhaust or the Meisterschaft GT Exhaust.

Are there any dealers here who sell them apart from SouthernBM and Active Motorwerks? Surely there is a cheaper option of getting it yourself which was what I was quite used to doing with the Evo. Dealing with the manufacturer themselves etc.

Also where can I buy new trim or is BMW Spare parts the only way to go

Ming

gratz on the purchase.

I just had the jb4 + dci installed over the weekend. So far so good

Remus exhausts are also quite popular but requires a new bootlip.

Thanks guys...

I really am trying to steer away from going overboard with the 335i project.

Lol I still remember telling my friend (naynay on this forum) I'm not going to mod it but I keep looking at mods and things to do.

Carta I just went through your thread and the direction you went with yours is something very similar I want to go with.

White Angel Lights, LCI Tail Lights etc.

Heh it's very difficult trying to avoid the mod bug particularly when you have (similar to myself) come from modified cars in the past.

I said the same thing... want to drive the car in stock form until I get bored of it. Then I've ended up spending 2.5k per month since purchase on mods and maintenance zzzz. Massive money sink!!!

So I was terribly wrong...

In a span of 1 week this is what happened...

-Got my JB4 coming in a few days thanks to Brule.
-Either a Meisterschaft GT2 or Eisenmann Race exhaust coming very soon (still deciding between the two but will hopefully be sometime next week too.)
-Ordered new rims.

Having to sell some Evo spare parts to keep this up haha!

Now I am sourcing a Vorsteiner rear boot, LCI Tail Lights and changing the amber angel ring to a nice subtle white. That should keep me happy for now hahaha.

What will you be doing with your old 18" motorsport rims? They are a bit plain but I bought an 08 335 E91 a couple of weeks ago but it only has 17s and runflats... bloody awful

Most likely going to get Lux or BMRAW not too sure at the moment!
ATM Just running my mates old pair.

Update:

I don't even know if this is becoming my build thread but... last week I picked up my new exhaust...

Eisenmann Race Exhaust with Quad Tips.

I had also updated my angel rings with some spares my mate had and didn't need the week before but never got round into taking photos of that. Oh as well as my JB4 if that wasn't mentioned :P

Just putting an order through for my LCI Tail Lights and AR Design Catless DP.

So... in 3 weeks of ownership...

1. Updated Angel Eyes
2. JB4 GS5 with BMS Cable
3. Eisenmann Race Exhaust
4. Qeep Windscreen Wipers

Pending: Waiting for delivery
1. LCI Tail Lights
2. AR Design Catless Downpipe

This build is going too fast

Great progress!

How's the Eisenmann sound? It replaces the stock mid section from the DP's all the way back yeah?
