If the FB company does not end up doing it, I do not mind going in on a set of the 6 pots to help with the costs to make it more of an attractive project for you haha Just let me know and keep us updated if you decide to tackle the project. - Phil |

So I did talk to my buddy about making Brackets for the CTS-V 6-Piston Brake Calipers to fit our BMW's and we both have agreed to give it a shot. But the only thing is that he won't be able to help till around late March (He's the one with the CNC Machine). So I have also contacted the company (CTS-V Brake Swap.com) that are going to be making the Bracket's for our BMW's and spoke to Tanner briefly. He is also a A+ vendor on my DSM forum too. Very nice guy to talk with as well. So They might beat us to it. They are a legit company from my experience with them too. So it may just be a race to which one of us are going to make them first lol. I will keep everyone informed on our progress, as well as a DIY if we do beat them to the punch.

How do you know if these brakes will match the stock master brake cylinder that is found on our cars ? Ive read many cases of people trying to fit the 4 pot f30 brakes on the e90 and saying that there pedal goes all the way to the floor and that there wasn't any grab/bite when pushing on the brakes ...

Guys, guys,
You can't just slap any caliper willi-nilli. You have to be careful with the caliper piston sizes or the brake balance will go to s#!t. If the piston sizes are way wrong, your brakes may not even function correctly at all. Also, think about pad choices and wheel fitments.

This kit plus ECS's two piece front rotors would be a pretty decent setup. And it comes with stainless lines! |

Let's get to calculating brake bias then..
Found this... M3forum post on calculating Brake Bias: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...p?p=1065614092 Pulling some data that may help.. Piston sizes / surface area for 09-13 CTS-V calipers: http://lukeskaff.com/?page_id=333 Quote:
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...-pad-data.html Anyone have data on our master cylinder? This would also depend on what rotor we could use, or would be optimal. Ideally I'd like to use the Z4 35is 2-piece rotors with these for a few pounds in weight savings. Last edited by zero2sixtyZ; 12-26-2014 at 11:56 AM.. |

For some reason I can't quote posts, but if you look around the rallyroad.net site, they have a similar brembo kit for rear e9x and also C6 Z06 vette BBK for E36 cars for under 1500. Just throwing it out there for some ideas and maybe price point. No reason a Z06 BBK should cost all that much more for a e9x, here's their brake section. No affiliation:
http://rallyroad.net/catalog/3 Me personally I don't track my car but brake pedal feel is poor IMHO, not so much the stopping power. Not even close to my e36m3, which is 20 years old and stock brakes (well euro rotors + mild street pads). Maybe a properly sized 4-piston caliper and more aggressive pads is the answer for e9x. |
