recommendations for fender work

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had fender work done and if so, what, where and how much?

I know there's guys who come around to roll your guards, but I'm thinking of buying or renting the guard roller and doing it myself. Anyone gone this route?

Also, anyone running extreme stance and done shave before?

I've used sydney gaurd rolling in the past and he is very good and well priced. I need to get mine done too so if your in sydney anytime soon we can meet up and get it done together.

What rim sizes are you going to go with?

You may wish to try and pump the guard a tad also?

Shaving the guards are somewhat DIY if you take the time and use the right tools, but if you just want to roll the guards get the pros to do it as they have years of experience and whilst you may save yourself $50 DIY rolling if you crack the clear coat you will be up for a hefty respray of the entire rear quarter panel ($500+)

Sounds like a plan a plan if i only need guards rolled. Gonna be running some pretty wide rims. Have you had time to put that FMIC on yet?

19x9.5 fronts and 19 x 11 rears. ET +22 and +25 respectively. Yeah I'd like to pump the guard a bit but the fronts are plastic so they can't really be pumped right? Hence the possibility of maybe needing them shaved.

I think you're right in getting someone do it professionally. I read some DIY guides with heat guns but would probably end up cracking the paint if I'm rolling beyond tolerances that someone with experience would know.

Sounds like a varrosteon wheel.
If so there is heaps of threads on this fitment Majority of the guys just rolled and adjusted camber with the right size tyre.
For the rears im pretty sure it was 265/30/19 on the 19x11

Alsofenders rolled should cost ya around $50 per corner.

I was referring to the rear, but unsure on the E9X platform if they can be 'pumped' all that much!

I need my rears rolled also, so if you get nelson to roll yours whilst he's in newcastle (sydney guard rolling said in the past he comes to newcastle) i would be keen also!

Yep all done and fit a treat.

Sydney gaurd rolling from memory can pump guards a little too. I'm going to need the fronts pumped with the crazy offset my csl wheels are.

Thanks for the links. Seen most of them and love the short video that guy had made especially!

Guy I bought wheels off said he just had roll and slight camber as well.

And not Varrosteons

At $50 per corner, I'm not sure how much you guys expect prices to come down especially seeing that this is a service, not a product so the labour involved is the same?

A GB would save Nelson from driving to each job individually. If they're all in one location, he may be kind enough to offer a discount. IIRC he charges $60-70 per corner and doesn't go lower than that price though

I've used him on two occasions and have always been satisfied with his work.

That's very true. But never hurts in asking if he doesn't have to travel all over the place? Just like some car detailers offer discounts when doing several cars for a family or office in the one location, it saves them travel time
