Hi, Sunny,
Nice to meet you. Great to know you are saving for the new E90 M3. please bring us any news if you have.

yes, touring is only HK$20k more and even German make, what a surprise! But I still prefer seden look as I do not need the extra space. In addition, IMO, A4 is still the best looking in touring.

Sorry for the stupid question, what is Zaino, is that a Wax? may be I need to search in Yahoo as my knowedge is so out!

Cheers
Ken

Woofer - 8" X 2 under the seat

I have only replaced all the 4" in the front and rear:
Model: DLS 424 2-way Coxial Speaker with separate corss-over box
Cost: 1500/pair ==> 3000 for four

Since 325i/330i has 2 addtional stock tweeters, selection of speakers might be different.

As I have not touched the woofer under the seat, the above spec. are told by some guys in this forum outside HK.

many tks
as sunny also said, sounds like I need to go for the spkrs change only
but I have to make sure i will not have a single thought about installing the 1000W system.............sht dont tickering me

Hi Tony,

thx for yr kindness, pls email yr DR's contact to me.

wow for sure i couldn't resist the temptation of moding my car regardless of what model it is!

I have z2, z5,z6,z7,z9 z10, zfx and z16, let me know if you wanta try them all out. oh, btw, i have extra applicators for you too. Not to worry, i have plenty of them. Pls copy & past to have a look at the product info:-
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc

i'd love to meet you friends, perhaps let's find out who'd like to join in addition to the two of us. More people render a bigger discount (i guess).

The Caltex Cleanpower is meant to be filled into the fuel tank. When you are almost runs out of oil, pour the entire bottle and then refuel a full tank.

I thought after our last meet you'd post how to re-set the ECU just like what you did to yr MB.

i guess it might have to do w/ what i did first 2 months, i deliberatly went to airport nearly once a week

Wonderful that you guys are truly fanatic. Evil that always discussing changing this & that. C'on...mods take lots of $$$. i'm officially saving for my E90 M3. i'll try to address some of the points you all 've gone through.

But first a warm welcome to RikuE90, Ksquare & Woo!

E90 touring is only 20k plus, in comparison w/ E90 sedan. & they're made in Germany, if that matters to you.

RikuE90, i'm w/ you on the fight w/ Simedarby HK. Someone in E90 was contacted by BMW Corporate becoz he's posted a complaint. I believe you should post to the main board to find out the contact in BMW Germany. I'm sure someone knows that.

Zaino does not ship outside the US, i'm buying from Cobra Seats in the UK. Whoever is interested in Zaino, let me know. I'm not a self-fish guy, i can give you guys some free "samples" to find out if it's worth every penny.

I'm planning to do 9 layers after hearing RD's suggestion.

Anyone hears any reivew on Sach's suspension?

The E90 hi-fi system isn't that bad at all. i think it's even better that of Mark Levinson in Lexus. Changing speakers is a quick-fix; changing the whole thing will be a thorough solution. Anyone knows any reliable hi-fi shop? i'm thinking of McIntosh system so that i can listen to the 1812 canon's sound.

Not sure if i spell this right? Having nitrogen injected into the tires would help. I have 38 on my 18 rims. The result is so conspicuous that even my mum noticed the difference - so much quieter.

As far as fuel consumption is concerned, mine averages at around 9-10l/100. Today, it's showing 8.2. I do occasional spirited driving in Lung Cheong Rd. The ECU adopts to yr driving style, so one in a while you have to stretch the E90's legs.

The Caltex CleanPower - $99/bottle - does help!
Hi Sunny,

How's your back? I hope it is not caused by the first 3 coats of Zaino.

But I remember I told you to put a total of 7 coats, not 9!

So, you will need to add another 4 coats to your existing 3 coats. Maybe we should arrange a mini self-detailing meet, haha

Hi Woo!!

Audi Advant yummy, RS4 Avant - hot! i can't take the waterfall grille. PLUS HK do not have 3.0 Quattro. 2.0 is front-wheel drive.

Pls see my reply to Tony, i've pasted Zain's web-site.

Zaino is not a wax but a polish. It's kind of cool. You can keep applying it and it will lay on top of each coat. The more coat you apply, the deeper the shine! Especially on dark colour cars. You can visit the below link for photos of cars with Zaino treatment

Thx Patrick,

based on my previous experiences - 1 hour per coat. I'll need another 4 hours. Not a bad idea for a detailing meet.

sunny, you should have made this decision on applying more coats alot earlier. The weather now is very bad.... hot and humid.

So, is there any place where we can do a detailing meet in an air-conditioned place?

It's the same but it is not proven if it works on E90s. The theory on the procedure is to fool your ECU to think you are more aggressive and so it will adjust itself and gives you better performance

For the MB, it will improve the car's response and easlier to kick down

here you go....

1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.

2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.

3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

let us know if you feel any difference after this...
