Turner's computer tune is out!

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...CT_ID=TN54-ST1

Sorry if a report. Well I wasn't expecting it to be 1K over Vishnu. But it is a reflash and not a piggyback. Wonder if it will come down with time?

I have to say though, back in the day (like my m3) it was a chip that you could replace and then pop the stock one back and resell the chip. Then later they started using the flash type upgrades. With those you couldn't really resell them since it used to "tie" itself up to your vin but at least you could reflash it back to stock if you wanted to take it to the dealer. With this whole "send us your ECU" business it's a pain. I think the plug in systems are better (and less expensive at least for now). I am going to give it a year or so before considering any of these upgrades.

Take a look at their E90 325i offering it went down in price by $500. I am hoping this is just an early price for all those that can't wait.

Where is JimC and his Shark Injector for this application? I wanna pay $399 for software again. Long live the old days.

$2400 for that little gains is highway robbery. I better get a happy ending with that too.

It's not even close.

My 335 was PROceded yesterday, and I can tell you it is the best mod ever on any of my cars.

Only thing I could compare it to is when I bought a 375 hp Vantage engine from the Aston-Martin former racing Dept. Manager to replace my US spec. 280 hp V8. That transformed the car, but cost me $30K and it took like a couple of months.

PROcede took ten minutes to install and changed my 279 RWHP 335 into a 333 RWHP one, and even more importantly, increased the torque from 298 to 391 (at the wheel), all that for $1,300 only.

What a rip off. I can't beleive they think they can get away with that price. The name turner does not add a thousand dollars to an inferior product. Flashing, and sending your ecu each time is a pain in the a$$. What happen later on when you add more mods? Have to pay for another flash!!!

Never thought I'd say this, but. Booooooo Turner.

But they do good work with the E36's so that's all I really care about.

I did ask them about the Bilstein B16 suspension system for the E9-'s sounds pretty sweet, but it won't be coming out for a while, cockpit adjustable dampening. Sweet.

Theres a point, even in debut pricing, where you insult the market with your batshit insane 'dream' price to the point that you can't be taken seriously thereafter. THey should call their flash Fanticede.

What surprises me is the little note on Turner’s dyno sheets.

“Multiply by 17% to get engine power”.

If you take their result, 314 hp/ 319 tq and multiply them by 17%, you get:

53 hp / 54 tq

Of course, if you assume that there is a 17% loss in the driveline, then to get crank figures, you have to multiply the results by 1.205.

So estimated crank engine results for Turner are:

314*1.205 = 378 hp
319*1.205 = 384 lb/ft.

Note, my PROceded 335 stage 1 estimated engine results are:

333*1.205 = 401 hp
391*1.205 = 471 lb/ft (or 639 N.m, 65.2 mkg).

Thanks for the info. Dyno results shall therefore be multiplied by 1.15 to MT cars to get estimated crank.

For my car then, the results are 383 hp / 450 lb/ft.

Not too shabby by any means.

It also means my 335 came out from the factory with 320 hp / 341 lb/ft vs. factory claim of 300 hp / 300 lb/ft…

I wonder why BMW downplay the car’s real potential?

A reflash is much better than a piggyback, IMO...but $2500.00 is ridiculous.

Hopefully, there are some more reasonably priced re-flashes in the the works from other tuners...a reflash for a 335i should not cost any more when compared to other cars....for example, look at the APR chips for Audi A4 2.0T- $599.00 for better gains and and more options.
