well what blows is it was supposed to be free in the 1st place! Her dad took some big hits in the market over the last 2 years so now his retirement is effected by it so i understand he needs to recoup but still. as of a month or so ago we realized we would have to buy it but he made it sound like just construction costs of about $250k and he would also be willing to play bank for us on that $250k also, no interest, so that'd be super manageable. Damn, i get where he's coming from and its not like you can get angry about it. But its obviously a huge disappointment. He shouldnt have made those promises if he couldnt keep them though.

I have a solution for you. I know I'm all preachy about the E60 wagon I had, but you can find one for about $25k at this point. Drives great, not like a wagon but like a sedan. You'll have the N54 35i so you'll be familiar with the car's mechanics and electrics. Just a thought. I dont know the whole story but I'm sorry you're having to consider selling your 1er.

There is no advantage to owning real estate right now in America, and certainly no advantage to having debt with a shaky economy. There is a good chance the dollar can collapse in the next 2 years, and though a hard asset like a home is nice holding, its also going to burden you if you move or sell it.

would be a great idea if rent wasn't as much or more for a decent sized space as it was for a mortgage around this area.
