2010 e90 coupe change orientation of maps on screen ?

Can I change the way the map faces on my screen?

Also, how do I see what version maps I have ?
The dealer told me they put 2013 when they replaced my CIC, just wanted to confirm this

Yes, the manual is a worthwhile thing to read.

Just playing around with the different controls (while parked) is also worthwhile since not everything iDrive does was in my 2010 manual.

You can change the display to show direction of travel, map facing north, or perspective map. See page 138 in the manual or select the icon on the left side of the display that changes the map direction.

FYI: an E90 is a sedan. Coupe is an E92. No such thing as an "E90 coupe".

BTW - the manuals for various years are downloadable from BMW if you want an electronic version. I forget the exact link, but it's within the Owners section. Note the coupe and convertible manual is a different file than the one for the sedan (at least that was the case for 2010 model year)
