I'd stick with cosmetic mods, yeah you can upgrade the performance of your 328 somewhat but IMHO if you were into performance mods a 335 or M3 would have been a better choice. Also its gonna cost you hundreds and even thousands for a literally a few more HPs which to me isn't really worth it.
Im not hating on the 328 at all, if I had half the problems other 335 owners had Id drive a 328 too. Now to the mods, depending on your budget, vorsteiner makes the best carbon fiber products and they look amazing but it'll cost you. Rims wise, Id go with BBS CHs myself, I like them better than 189s and you can get more aggressive offsets too. Don't be afraid to get M3 fitment, rolling the fenders is super easy and at the end of the day they'll look way better IMO. If you take my advice 265 in rear and 225 stretched up front will give you the least amount of issue, again IMO. JBspeed.com has all the other stuff you need for super cheap, like black grille, blackline tail lights, cf badges, lips, spoilers etc. He's soooo easy to deal with and I think he's awake 24/7 cause Ive never had to wait for a reply when Ive Pm'd him, hes like a jedi for discount cosmetic mods lol. |

Perhaps your car already has some decent all season tires on it. Let us know what you have and I am sure you will get some more opinions on the subject.

You can put 19 on a 328, but why do it other than for looks. Most of the track people stick with 18. When you put the 19 on you are much more likely to get rim damage and tire damage due to the lack of distance between the rim and the road. The ride will be much better with 17 or 18, particularly when you change to an improved handling suspension.

This is what I did: 1. Inserted fob into key slot. 2. Pressed Start Engine button 3. Depressed gas pedal all the way down for about 30 seconds (listened for the adjustments, but never heard them). 4. Released gas pedal. 5. Waited another 30 seconds. 6. Started the car. No difference. |

For mods, I would say it depends on what you like. Definitely agree that cosmetic mods are probably your best bet as you can't get much more out of the engine. One thing to consider though is the BMW Performance Exhaust - I have a 328xi and I felt it was way too quiet. People might bash it for how expensive it is with minimal gains - but the general consensus is that is has the best sound. There are cheaper options like muffler delete, or Craven's MMW muffler+resonator delete-but keep in mind most people doing these are trying to get something that sounds comparable to PE - spend the money if you have it and get it done right the first time! I was able to get mine done for $1000 installed at the dealership.

i recommend the MMW CS exhaust. best gains, best sound, and modifies your existing muffler so its within budget. i don't have it, but plan on getting mine modified soon. scour the n/a forum for more details

The BMW powerbox is must - especially if you're not fond of your transmission.
Give it a nice drop with some light weight rims. Look for some Xenon's. Call it a day.

2) Eibach Pro-Kit 3) Check out EAS (here) or some other aftermarket source for DEPO's. Or just go the OEM route and get coding after the install. NA engines are usually louder than FI engines simply because of the exhaust plugs (turbos).

I recently purchased a 2008 328I for my 17 year old daughter and want to upgrade the lights all around. Nothing to extream just want the lights to be brighter. The head lights and tail lights are dim and the car is hard to see the car at night and the paint is black so it is even darker. Need advice to brighten the car up.
Thinking TDŽ 6000K HID Slim Ballast Kit (Low Beam) - 07-08 BMW 328i for the head lights and bulb up grades for the rest. want a brighter light for the tail lights break lights license plate and side lights. Would consider other options. |

is the bms powerbox really noticeable and worth it? ive read that our engines already are at peak performance for the most part.
I just picked up my 328i. Im planning on making it into a fun little track car for the weekend racer. Im coming from an e36 so this thing does seem alittle sluggish compared to the light weight of the e36. Ill likely strip the interior down and part some stuff out to lighten it up. im new to this forum and not sure how credible or good m advice would be. i have spoken with many people and have ben told that by removing the rear muffler and welding a pipe and some tips, it would be 90 percent like getting the performance exhaust from bmw....dont know how correct ha is or not but im thinking about trying it
