Sounds like H&R Sport springs would be a great option for you. Its a mild lowering spring which won't seriously decrease ride comfort. Many who install the H&R Sport springs say that the car feels much sportier after the installation.

Tirerack is a great place to purchase the springs from if you don't have a local shop that offers a lowering package. For E9x spring installs, we book the job for 2.5 hours at $105 an hour. You should be able to find a local shop that can get in the ballpark of that price.

I have seen a few complaints about the H&R.... they are a bit more extreme and aggressive. IMO, the Eibach are a better compromise, no complaints here. I think that the drop was 1" - 1.125" IIRC.

I am dropped on H&R sports with Koni Yellow struts/shocks and the drop is perfect. If you're planning to use your stock shocks/struts, then it will sit a little higher than mine. I drive into the city often and don't have any problems. Just got to be careful for those damn potholes.

And if you're in the city, PM Matt (itsbrokeagain), he does the installs for the shocks and springs for a lot of the tri-state members and at a great price, too!

GL!

Oh, and I'm moving this thread to the suspension forums.
