Fault codes bmw 320d e90 05 reg

Hi new to bmw got a 320d e90 on a 2005 got lights on dash took garage they gave me these codes anyone got any ideas fault code 24096 pressure sensor 1 / fault code 51524 chassis can-bus disturbed communication/ fault code 42705 auxiliary refrigiant pump/ fault code 40129 scheinwerferstellantrieb links hope sumone can help thxs these are the codes they gave me when it was put on computer thxs

Codes read I'm guessing are on a simple code reader as these mean little to me(the garage I work fir uses the Autologic system)


But pressure sensor 1, I'm in the 320d will be the hydro unit(it'll have an internal code when read on a decent system it'll come up I suspect as hydro unit internal component or outside chance hydro connector fault code 5ff0 & f1 will be displayed) pressure sensor 1&2 were the old values your saw on E46's for instance and referred to the ASC & DSC units as the E9X's have an integral unit it just refers to the fact that it's not working internally now.

Not too bad re money and on par with both pressure sensors on the E46's the repair kit unit will be around £160 plus VAT just under 2 hours start to finish fitting with brake fluid change plus there's a bit of required coding that needs to take place to get everything in order.

CAN Bus is the way the car communicates so somewhere there's an issue(s) that'll need further investigation. The description is too vague ideally find a specialist in your area that has access to the Autologic system as the fault can be displayed and they'll be able to dial into the fault to pull more information out which will help matters. I'm guessing there's a power issue here somewhere, if the cars battery is old say 5 years or more they can give trouble drop test the battery by all means but agin the Autologic system if the tech using it is up on these things can carry out a power test and a power performance test that will on the screen pull up the last 28 days of activity which if you know what you're doing as a tech is a great help. But there's something happening there for sure we see a fair few older E9x's with various CAN faults from instrument cluster faults to module failure partly down to closing down due to power personally I'd get it reassessed with a company with Autologic that'll be able to be more accurate but with basic reading abilities you can't assertainwhat the issue could be. Again if it's power IBS cable (intelligent battery sensor could also be an issue as when power drops or is seen to be unstable this will close non critical control units down to preserve critical power for engine brakes steering etc. and leave faults in other areas) if it is power related new battery bit of coding to sync the new battery and a bit of component activation may well help matters but get it checked out.

Aux refrigerant could be a pump again it's a bit vague you may not have any gas in the system or it's low on gas due to a leak lack of pressure sadly again description/codes a bit vague but it does sound AC related does it.

Thxs very much mate new to this I paid to get it checked to find out what codes r and this is all I got and haven't got a clue I will try to find sumone with that thxs for ur help

No worries just look for the Indy BMW specialist with Autologic, you can use a Bosch specialist but there is a lack of flexibility in what can be achieved where as the Autologic system has as much go in it as the main dealer system.
