Independent BMW Shops in NOVA??

Thought I'd ask about experiences with independent shops in northern Virginia. I have a few near me, but it's difficult to find a good sample of reviews for them. Typical reviews are either glowing or horrible and I can't really trust them.

One reviewer stated that they had taken their BMW to Jiffy Lube previously.

Another was saying that $90/hour labor was way too much, which really isn't the case for this area.

I'm under warranty for about 2 more years, but it's always nice to have another party to get an opinion from if need be.

i help out at a collision center over in that area during the summer, we bring cars to german swedish for various things other than bodywork. id say they do good work.

Funktion auto in Sterling but they are bit on the pricey side but a great shop and then you have RRT as well.

What kind of work did you want done? Routine Maintenance?

It's really just routine maintenance.

The only other performance mod I'm considering is a 3-stage intake manifold. I think I'll be able to tackle that one myself. I'm planning on holding onto this car for sometime and I need to make sure it's taken care of.

Can anyone suggest a good shop for potential suspension install? I know i'll be getting H&R Sports in the near future, but may add Koni Yellows to the setup as well.

Ive got an 08 328i coupe. Im in the Fredericksburg area, but willing to travel for quality work at a good rate. Any ballpark figures for what i should expect to pay at one of these shops?

Here's a possibility - Alexandria Bavarian Service near Potomac Yards.

Scheduled a battery replacement/registration - price of $277 quoted.

Staff appears knowledgeable - I'll let you know how it goes.

Send Clem a PM. He's in Maryland and I've heard he does fantastic work and can usually take care of these things for much cheaper than your dealership.

If I ever need any maintenance / repair thats not covered by warranty, I'm going to him for sure.

I thought I had posted in this thread before, but maybe I'm making it up. We're in Sterling and do a good amount of work on the E90 cars. I have a 335i myself. (See that car here.) We're an E90Post supporting vendor, too.
