I have a 5 and i love it. The 5s is a great phone, there just isn't much need to upgrade from a 5 to 5s. Everyone else, the upgrade is huge. The only improvement that I would like at the current moment is a much better battery life. Everyone else is a whiny bitch with no real backing to their complaints. A closed system like ios will be better for 99% of users than android OS which is all over the place. The hating from the android crowd is hilarious, this coming from an s3, windows phone, lg and nokia former user.

I got mine friday but didn't get to use it until Saturday.

So far I'm happy. Faster than my 5, no lag on iOS7, and TouchID makes unlocking/downloading stuff faster and easier. Battery life is definitely improved.

Worth the $500 for sure.

I bought the gold, specifically to sell it. The same reason that I have purchased white phones in the past. Given they are more popular, they can get a premium when I go to sell them.

Wrong. You're always charged sales tax on the unsubsidized price of any phone, regardless of where you buy it in CA (along with RI and NJ...I believe).

Do you really think people are that stupid to pay $50-70 more per phone just so they could buy it at the Apple/AT&T store?

Don't know about that but when we did an upgrade for my ex's 4s it came out to $216 while the Apple store charged me $260. If someone can explain that I'm all ear.

If in CA, then they messed up and will have to pay for it out of pocket.

My 5S from AT&T came out to $476, and my other 5S from Apple came out to $485 but that's because I paid $10 extra for Expedited shipping (supposed to arrive tomorrow according to tracking) . Sooner it gets here, the more i can sell it for (AT&T one I picked up after 10 mins of waiting in the afternoon lol).

I should've gotten a Gold one but I didn't think it would be worth much more... I could've easily done it as I finished my Apple order before my clock hit 12:02 so stock was plentiful at the beginning.

I have ATT and I just have to pay 199 (or 299) for a phone. Sure I am locked in for another 2 years, but I don't have to pay more for the phone itself.

My gf has tmobile. It's like you pay 99 bucks and then 29 bucks a month for 2 years. You end up paying about 600 for just the phone. Sure, you aren't locked in for 2 years with tmobile, but you still have to pay! So really, you are locked financially. If you were to switch plans or companies... You still have to pay tmobile for 2 years. I don't really see a difference except that you are paying tmobile an extra 400 bucks. Really stupid IMO.

I wish tmobile gave you option...

I bought one last year from Best Buy and they charged the full tax...

I did a quick search (not worth to spend so much time on it) and what I seemed to find is it's due to poor walmart employee training (or they're just idiots or they just don't care)

Bestbuy rewards zone is pretty cool though. I have their elite+ status and the extended return window as well as points back isn't bad. Plus, my Citi card gives me 5% cash back there on top of reward zone points..

I haven't had any issues yet, but haven't really done anything that would make it hard for it. Hand has always been clean and there hasn't been a problem. Have you had issues?
