Hi Everyone,

I'm going to be visiting Chicago for work in early August but I'm getting there a couple of days earlier and was seeing if anyone had any suggestions with regards to affordable hotels that are in central areas or within a reasonable distance to take the CTA to get to downtown. where abouts are you looking to stay at?

I dont really have much of a preference, for work I'll be staying near the Loop, but hotels around there are a little too rich for my blood for the first couple of days that I'm not on the company dime.

I guess just anywhere that is decently priced and to wear I can easily take CTA around to get from place to place.

hmm anything downtown is going to be expensive, you could look at the marriot on ashland in the loop

just stay at the travelodge on Harrison and wabash, just gonna be sleeping there anyway

Thanks for the suggestion, hotel looks really nice, but $289/nt is a killer!

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately they dont have any rooms available during my stay, looks like a good deal though!
