BMW 335i. What mods are people running?

Just thought I would start a thread up to see what extent of tuning people have gone too.

What mods you got?

What bhp/ lbft

Most common problems you've come across?

Is that at the fly or wheel?

That'll be wheel from the spec. A JB4 alone will push near 400 fly on stock.

Those numbers are fly based on my last dyno. I was losing boost at high rpm and misfiring. Which is why the 510lb/ft seems high by comparison to the bhp!

I'm not making predictions on power for the rerun in a few weeks but hope for much more...

HPFP, Injectors, VANOS, vaccum lines, actuators, coil packs, spark plugs, ....

on a std car....

but once sorted, a stage 1 remap would easily give you an extra 65bhp! ....when that n54 runs good....it's a bloody strong good engine!!!....

Forge intercooler, aFE sealed (sort of) intake, catted AR downpipes, Procede Tube running, 380 bhp ish at the fly.

No problems with the car, but it's running a very conservative boost target and not a very good dyno run. Still more than fast enough for me. 400bhp with just a remap seems very optimistic!!

I dynod at 380 with just an Evolve remap. Now have Evolve intercooler, Supersprint catless DP's, BMS drop in filter and Evolve stage2.

Not had it dyno'd since the first remap though so don't know the power, What would you guys expect it to be?

I had the usual issues as well. Coils, plugs, turbos, water pump, O2 sensor.

Was around 400. Kept up with m3 n s4 . No dyno after tune but before tune dyno at 250 bhp at the wheels.

Mods then were Cobb App stage 1 + , forge Ic and panel filter.

Coming soon New ETS IC , either downpipe or catless mids pipes.

Problems came on now after having 40k miles tune. Fuel pump, vano's and a few coils, pressure sensors. Turbo was ok but was very rattly.

306 + 70 bhp = 376 no? That's pretty near 400 and I'd say map 5 stock on a decent car will make 380/390. Anyway the point was that given the whole list of mods + meth, I think phil would be pretty disappointed if he was only getting 25bhp, 30bhp, or even 40bhp more than a stock JB4

Meth should be in the region of + 30%

Pretty much everything

RB turbos, all bolt on mods including DPs, FMIC, catback exhaust, DCIs as well as meth and a few other things that I've probably forgotten

Power figures? With just a JB4 I made 384.1bhp and 437ft-lbs then on dying standard turbos with FMIC, DPs I made 410bhp and 480ft-lbs but on a more realistic DynoDynamics roller. Now? Depends if it is running right
