I know this been beaten to death...but i need a muffler

And i dont know which route to go...i cannot justify spending upwards of 900 bucks just for sound so don’t recommend the pe because it’s just silly in my eyes(although it’s what I really want)...my budget is in the $500 range and I am looking for a sound similar to a pe...removing resonator n all that u can input along with muffler recommended bc I don’t mind doing that...I was going to go with the AA exhaust but with the drone complaints I can’t justify buying...I wish I went mmw but they seem to have fallen off the planet...so what other options out there I looked at rouge but haven’t heard too much about it and heard sounds low...so any help would be truly appreciated.

I Absolutely love my AA exhaust, and honestly i have no clue what all the bitching about drone is, they all sound dumb. Installed myself, tweaked it a couple times and have ZERO drone cruising on the highway. The sound is amazing, really deep and mean at low RPMs, and crazy and exotic sounding when you let her open up. Makes all kinds of lovely growls, pops, gurgles. I cannot express my love enough, really brought the car to life, i dont think i used the radio the first couple weeks after installing. haha Oh and its not stupid loud , just enough to let people know whats up haha.

Hope this helps, oh and if you looking for cheapest option, just do a muffle delete with some nice tips of choice and have a muffler shop do the work. :]

Not sure he wants to go that route since there are drone issues

Why not just go to a muffler shop and have them make you a custom magnaflow setup?

I just took mine to a shop and handed him pictures and said "make it look like this" and he made it so.

I have concluded most of the drone is due to fitment being either to tight or it has just not broken in yet. With that said when you have to weld it on you only have one chance to get it right.

What do you mean too tight? The clamps being too tight?

Well the right way to do it is to snug everything and get it where you want it then tighten everything up. Sometimes people will tighten down the clamp and then put force to get it aligned. Hope that makes sense?

If you have drone try readjusting the system. We usually do a couple mile drive then readjust the system.

The other amount of drone heard is contributed to the low rpm and strain of the engine.

This is exactly what I did, no drone at all cruising. Plus I bought an exhaust to hear my car, not to hear it, then complain about hearing it.

Ive noticed most muffler shops will work with you until you find a setup that you like. Once the main pipes are in swapping mufflers is a simple cut and weld just talk to them.

Go with RE Ikon muffler and res delete - has excellent sound - similar to PE, but muffler will run you in the $500 range.

No drone and the sound is not to obnoxious for a DD...
