I got mine in a few days ago and had the same issue. I took a blow dryer and jammed it right into the center area and slowly moved it along heating it up. The lip seemed to return back to shape on its own, I did little to no bending. I dont think it will be an issue though, if anything it will make for snugger fit.

I was originally quoted $200 installed from my local BMW approved body shop but got them down to $150 not installed since I'll just do it myself. I'm having mine painted this week while my front bumper is also getting fixed from someone hitting it while I was in church. This way the paint will match dead on as well since they'll spray them both at the same time. I'll post pics once it's done and installed since there don't seem to be many floating around on here and yet both Ebay vendors are selling them like hotcakes.

I went with Doe. I believe them both to be the same, mine came wrapped like another member who got his from Bayson in a different thread.

I actually kept my shipping label, mine came from:

RBKA Shipping Dept.
Doe Industries, Inc
1334 10th St.

Anyone with a Bayson want to cross check it?

When getting this painted, do we want to paint the whole thing or just the outside? Did someone say if you paint the whole thing, it isn't as good of a hold when mounting?

You only need to paint the outside - if they get any overspray on the backside (and they will) make sure to clean it off where you are placing the 3M tape.

The tape will seem to be sticking at first, but since the overspray is just that - the tape will stick to the overspray and then pull off easily...

This is good for the price, but why does it look slightly different to me? Is it just because I "know" it's not OEM?

Somehow, it looks thicker or something and the lines don't seem to flow exactly the same.

All in all, it's worth it but I'd get OEM.

I did a test fit last on my lips last night and it snapped into place so tight that I had to pry it off..lol.. this is all without using screws or tape. Definitely great fitment.

Did a search on the site for some pics of this ebay aero lip and I gotta say there is a definite difference...its alot bulkier around the edges..the OEM one sits much more flush and is less bulkier around the edges..

Its a tough decision ebay vs OEM ...$100 vs $370...but I think the OEM is worth the extra $ beacuse of how it fits around the sides...anyone else care to comment?

Got any comparison shots? I did some searching and didn't find any good pictures to compare with.

Hey, fellow Monaco Blue 335i owner here, think you could post a couple side views of your car? A 35% tint and Aero lip have been on my to-do list for a while now and I see you've done just that. I'm curious to see how 35% looks, as I'm afraid of having it done and having it look too dark. Regarding the Aero lip, was any modification/drilling/whatever to the bumper necessary for the install?

Also, I notice you have the GP thunders listed in your sig. How do you like them? I've heard mixed things about them (too dim, etc.) and haven't been sure whether to bother ordering them.

First two are e-bay, second two are OEM..its subtle but the edges sit more flush and dont wrap around the fender like the e-bay.

Just ordered mine...$99.95 shipped. Got a really good body shop that paint-matched and installed my rear lip spoiler, so we'll see what it will cost to have them do that for the front. This will resolve some scrapes and rock chips in the lower edge of my stock bumper - great idea! Might even get some of that clear protective film to put over it and keep it from getting any future damage.

I really should jump on this bandwagon too, but first, a couple of questions...

How much lower does this put your front end to the ground compared w/OEM? I already scrape once in a while with OEM but just on the very bottom where it can't be seen. Also, are you guys putting any kind of a clear bra over it to protect it from chips? My OEM spoiler has a clear bra on it now, would I have to remove that to install this?

Thats exactly the reason i decided against here in NY steep driveways..bad roads it will crack,,the OEM ones your suppose to glue adhesive so its bonded permanent to bumper..if it cracks... you basically have to do redo ur whole front bumper
