When getting this painted, do we want to paint the whole thing or just the outside? Did someone say if you paint the whole thing, it isn't as good of a hold when mounting?

You only need to paint the outside - if they get any overspray on the backside (and they will) make sure to clean it off where you are placing the 3M tape.
The tape will seem to be sticking at first, but since the overspray is just that - the tape will stick to the overspray and then pull off easily...

This is good for the price, but why does it look slightly different to me? Is it just because I "know" it's not OEM?
Somehow, it looks thicker or something and the lines don't seem to flow exactly the same. All in all, it's worth it but I'd get OEM. |

I did a test fit last on my lips last night and it snapped into place so tight that I had to pry it off..lol.. this is all without using screws or tape. Definitely great fitment.

Did a search on the site for some pics of this ebay aero lip and I gotta say there is a definite difference...its alot bulkier around the edges..the OEM one sits much more flush and is less bulkier around the edges..
Its a tough decision ebay vs OEM ...$100 vs $370...but I think the OEM is worth the extra $ beacuse of how it fits around the sides...anyone else care to comment? THX |

Also, I notice you have the GP thunders listed in your sig. How do you like them? I've heard mixed things about them (too dim, etc.) and haven't been sure whether to bother ordering them. Last edited by dwells; 07-07-2011 at 04:31 AM.. |

Just ordered mine...$99.95 shipped. Got a really good body shop that paint-matched and installed my rear lip spoiler, so we'll see what it will cost to have them do that for the front. This will resolve some scrapes and rock chips in the lower edge of my stock bumper - great idea! Might even get some of that clear protective film to put over it and keep it from getting any future damage.

I really should jump on this bandwagon too, but first, a couple of questions...
How much lower does this put your front end to the ground compared w/OEM? I already scrape once in a while with OEM but just on the very bottom where it can't be seen. Also, are you guys putting any kind of a clear bra over it to protect it from chips? My OEM spoiler has a clear bra on it now, would I have to remove that to install this? |
