Where to buy affordable rims?

OK gang - I need your help.

Looking to buy some 18", 8.5 width rims (for winter tires) at a reasonable price. Like the OEM stlye 289 or older 162. Saw the following sites:

www.finishlinewheels.com (~$200/rim)

shop.bmwpartx.com (~$115/rim)

Has anyone had any dealings with these sites? They both claim to sell OEM refurbished rims, albeit the latter's prices seem too good to be true. Neither sells the centre caps, so I'd have to purchase those elsewhere.

If not these sites, any suggestions where I can get an affordable set for no more than $800?

Alternatively I could try the latest ALL-season tires that promise better handling in the snow, but I doubt they're as good as winter tires.

Please help.

Regards,
Greg

I always bought closeout for winter rims, because I just wanted less expensive. Then people started saying, "nice rims!" On my $69 winter wheels, very strange. No need for the LM's in the winter, just go cheap so you don't have to feel bad with the salt and if any dents.

The price on the second site you have listed is amazing, even if they are refurbs. Like you have stated, I'm a little weary that the price may be too cheap.

I have searched a little bit for current OEM rims (like the 287) and have found Tischer to be the least expensive so far. However, most OEM rim set would put you over the $800 mark.

On another note, many of the wheel shops in GTA sell replica BMW rims geared towards winter (ie: M3 or M5 replicas are very common for instance). I've seen them in and around $500-$600. I just put on a set of Euro Klasse CSL reps for my winters and paid about $600 for them. They seem okay but don't know much about them to be honest.

Tirerack's TR Motorsport wheels offer great value but their C2 rim is only $169/wheel for 18". I think these used to be priced similarly to the MT-1 which are approx $300/wheel so it's a pretty good discount. They're strong and look similar to Volk TE37 and the SSR Comp wheels. I'd hit those...
