Replacement tire sizes on 07 335 Conv.?

My front two Potenza RE050A RF's have bubbles and i'm pretty sure Bridgestone will do nothing as they have approx 18K on them (approx because car has 35K and I have had a 2nd set of pure snows/rims for winter). The RFT's will be history, what is a good replacement tire and size (width being the more important question) that will work on my OEM 18" wheels? It has 225/40 and 255/35's on her now, thinking 235 and 265...

Thanks in advance for any help.
Gary

I did, read all the different posts on wheel and tire swaps, etc. etc. and didn't find an answer. I'll make the question more specific.

Will my going to 235/40/R18 and 265/35/R18 in Falken 452's (or any other non-RFT tire) cause me any rubbing on a stock 335Ci (Sport Package)? I was about to pull the trigger but I really don't want an issue. Same dealer has the stock rear size on backorder so I have time anyway..

Using the (fantastic!) tool at the top of the page tells me I will have 9mm less inside and 3mm less outside clearance. Can't imagine that being an issue but figured quite a few have already been down this road..
