Windshield Chip Repair

Hi, now that winter is (almost) over, I would like to fix the couple chips and pits on my windshield. Can someone recommend a windshield repair service in Toronto (Markham / Richmond Hill referred). I am not certain if the glass repair service in CT parking lot is reliable or not. I have searched the forum but only manage to find a few posts re windshield replacement. Thank you for your help.

I went to CT for mine. did a decent job but I don't like to let them sit for to long and that was the only place I knew of. Just make sure you check what material they are using and watch them do it. Over the winter there were some people using a water based material and after some time it came off.

Ron Tordoff - 416-802-8772

Search the BMW forums for more info. He used to run a few of the CT ones, and do chip repairs for dealers.

i did the Speedy mobile service and they came to my office and the whole thing went through insurance (no deductible or anything). They did a great job

Its so sad to hear about Ron's passing. I went to him early last year. We spend quite a bit of time talking. I still remember all the pretty woodwork and Christmas decorations he showed me inside his garage. RIP, Ron. You will be missed.

Wow, that's really sad news about Ron. Only met him once, but he was incredibly professional and a nice guy.

+1 Ask your broker or call your insurer to see if they can cover this. They deal with reputable shops that will guarantee the works.

End up going to Speedy in Markham. They took a look and asked me don't bother fixing since the chip is not deep enough. On my way home in 10 min.
