N55 Trackday Buttonwillow

Wanted to beat up the new FMIC at the track after thanksgiving -
Had an invite from old friends , Long, Ivan, Nick, Pak the whole norcal - socal bimmer family.
Again the N55 held up very well. It was a chilly day mid-to-low 60's.
Great day to track.

Oil temps held strong under 250. 20min runs each session, had 4 runs that day.

I ran the track without my ideal setup.
-didn't have meth yet because deal'n with another variable.
I had to remove my chargepipe and downgrade the procede board to
rev2 on an older map, 8-something.
I ran that map last track event so i knew it was solid - didn't want
to run the lastest map, which would've been fine but stuck with
what was on the board without upgrade'n it.

Coincidentally I ran into Shiv at the track - small world.
couple days before I was on the phone troubleshooting an
overboost issue with him - I log'd 20psi+
And later found out it was not an overboost but something else.

He took the time, trouble shooted my N55 at
the track, did a few runs on the highway, and
long story short I gave my Rev 2.5 board
back to shiv.
It's most likely an isolated issue.
Now that's taken care of Meth is a okay now for install.
I'll have piece of mind now. I usually will run a week or so
with any new bolt on for trouble shooting.

Nice. How were the new brakes ? Did you run the new bbs? What tires ? I need to hit the track soon.

new brakes were great!
had em' on last track event.

Solid picture

well done on the intercooler, i was waiting for some feedback. My car is going to Forge Motorsport for a week. They want to develop an n55 intercooler so i decided to be the test mule, it is a sweet deal ;]

Since it looks like youre gonna be tracking it more it might be time for a Quaife

Sweet picture. Looks like a lot of fun! I still have yet to track my 1 but I really want to see how it handles the abuse of the track.

Good to hear that oil temp held strong. I went to buttonwillow on 20th when was raining whole day. I saw a few 135s and m3s. Let's rock together next time!

you can't pass up that sweet deal from forge Motorsport.

i got my intercooler for under 600$, fittings included.

kay - i think IvanX was think'n big willow or streets come early DEC.
