Is coding all I need (Sirius issue) for MY2010 M3
2010 M3... Build date 12/09 - if car has nav, tech package, premium package... does the car automatically come with the 693 - Sirius Pre-Wire package option? Or would it still be a stand alone option?
If anyone can help me that would be great I am very confused, and would like to add the Sirius radio as I listen to it all the time and I am just buying this car. I am in North/Central NJ - any coders around. Heard there is a magician in Staten Island. if you read this send me a PM! |

Guess that's me?
You need a satellite tuner either way. Hard to come by and pretty pricey. "Pre-wired" means just that - car has the antenna and all cables but no tuner. |

Is a Sirius FSC a part? Or is it a code that gets typed in?
The Sirius Antenna you say, where does it go? I have the shark fin on the back trunk lid... so I am asking |

It is a software code. Either get it loaded at the dealer or contact BimmerTech.

So would I use heat gun and floss to remove shark fin, and then 3M tape the Shark fin that has the sirius antenna in it back in the same spot?

are you sure your sirius isn't already there, my understanding is that with CIC systems it automatically comes with it, there isn't an option to not have it come with it....
i have the cic idrive in my 2010, it was already there i just needed a subscription |

basically if you go under radio do you see an satellite option or just AM & FM?
if you see satellite and go there do you get preview stations? if so you don't need to buy anything except a subscription from siriusxm |

You can order the OEM Sirius retrofit with free 1-year subscription on our website.
Since you have a convertible you will also need the Sirius antenna which we can supply or you can buy from your dealership. Please send us an email if you have any questions. |
