Hope you can help me out. I foolishly let the wife talk me out of getting Bluetooth in the new 320 ED- big mistake, now regretting it big time one month down the line.
The car is hers but I use it quite a bit and miss not having the phone integrated.

Can anyone tell me of a good aftermarket Bluetooth kit that will integrate with steering wheel/radio etc. I realise it will probably cost me more, but needs must.

Ps this is our first BM and I\'m hooked. Just wish we had got a few more extras now, but she only gets a part time car allowance do the bill soon went up !

Don't think the Parrot is fully integrated with BMW steering wheel etc. Don't really want anything on the dash either. My boss has a parrot in his Tougan and there's a LCD display on the dash that looks naff ?

Had a google for these. Best I can find is £345. Fitting is an extra £90. Has anyone fitted one themselves ? Is it fairly straightforward ?

There is a thread on here about the Fiscon which I do believe is the best solution to your problem.

I've got a Parrot with a Connects2 cable so that the steering wheel buttons work. I got this before the Fiscon was released. There is no extra Parrot display involved as it uses voice commands which work extremely well with my Blackberry. I can say the name of the person I want to call and it reads out the callers name when calls are delivered. Unfortunately it does not display their phone number on the screen like the Fiscon does.

Also be careful, the Fiscon unit was developed when all professional head units had optical inputs, however, new cars from 03/10 on do not have them if no options in the car need them, and this is how it connects to your radio.
So, most people will find that the Fiscon won't work on later cars.

Yep we got USB so she could listen to Glee!!

What's the deal for £40?

You can buy a Mic, bluetooth antenna, 5m of wire and 4 pins to solder onto the wire, total cost from BMW around £40.
You then code your radio for bluetooth and you are away.


Lift the boot floor and check what the box is in the boot. Take a pic of it and post it on here.
Get a pic of both connectors and the label on it.


You may have the latest radio if very recent model which has bluetooth and USB built in, which I guess would be even easier/cheaper to add it.

If there is no box in the boot we need to slide the radio out and check connectors on rear. But lets look in the boot first.

I have lifted the boot floor and can't find a box. Should this be where the air pump is stored ? I have found a connection under the plastic CD storage box on the left-presumably to connect a cd multichanger ?

Am I looking in the right place ?
