They are currently in storage at work. I can shoot some pics tomorrow and have them up by the weekend. I am a pretty picky guy so when I say its minor, its minor!

I would be lying if I said I know for sure. I know that with Audi four wheel drive that the only thing that matters is that the tire diameter should match wether staggered or square setup. I would assume it would be the same for BMW. Price Drop $2300!

Hey guys,

Here are some additional pictures as promised. I had to take the wheels out of storage to take the following pictures;

How the wheels are currently stored:

Wheel one full shot:

Wheel one close up of rubber residue which can be rubbed off(not a defect):

Wheel one tire condition:

Wheel two full shot:

Wheel two curb mark 1:

Wheel two curb mark 2:

Wheel two curb mark 3:

Wheel two tire condition:

Wheel three full shot:

Wheel three tire condition:

Wheel four full shot:

Wheel four tire condition:

Wheel one hairline crack on back side (no leak):

Sorry for the low quality iPhone pictures, that's all I have as a camera. As for the condition of the wheels, as you can see they are quite nice. In terms of the crack in the rear wheel, I had a professional wheel repair shop inspect the crack and was quoted $75.00 to fix it. I was also told that with RFT tires becoming a standard tire with companies such as BMW/Mercedes, that these cracks are becoming extremely common. He also mentioned that it is not needed to be repaired and still holds air no problems. Feel free to contact me with any further questions. Thanks for looking,

Jeffrey

Staggered is not an issue on xDrive cars. The OEM spot and M Sport set up are staggered. Need to make sure that the rolling diameter F/R are within 1% or so.

Thanks man. So can you confirm in regulating this correctly with the tire sizes below?

255/35/19 = 169,575
225/40/19 = 171,000

So 99.1% or .9% variance

Also I've read a few places 3% is the rule?

Your math is as good as mine

I would minimize the F/R variance as much as possible. For example OEM LCI E90 335xi MSport is 225/40/18 F 255/35/18 R = .236% difference.

Alternatively check with TireRack or PM them as they are a forum sponsor.

Thanks again mate. On that last one I get .833% so I might be calculating it wrong. I hate the idea if wrecking the transmission and no warranty coverage because of tire size!
