iPOD adaptor not functioning

Got the iPOD adaptor installed today..

Plugging in the iPOD I get the ROUNDEL on the ipod screen but the iDRIVE never displays any "CDC" etc to indicate an ipod is present..

Car will go back tomorrow to correct.. but any have an idea before I take it back in?

it is a 60gb unit.. bought last spring.. looks like the current units (60gb) being sold at BEST BUY...

Works with the MB ipod apadtor (2007 ML350 factory installed)

Mine does not show the CDC in the menu options either, it shows

FM - SAT - CD - AUX

I have to go into CD which then had a sub menu:

DVD - CD - CDC

Can you try that?

JSpira is yours like that?

I DO NOT have the CDC option... just the CD and DVD...

Service says it is generation 1.
60gb, displays Vodcasts, pictures...
bought Feb 2005

That looks like a 5th generation Ipod which should work with the kit.
I think 3rd generation and above work with the kit.

OK I was just making sure, when I first got in my car after theh install I freaked because there was no CDC option, not realizing that I had to go into CD first!

It sounds like they did not update teh software on your car.

Thats definetley 5th generation, iPod exactly the same as mine!

Upgraded the IPOD to 1.2 software..still not workingin the CAR.

ROUNDEL is displayed on IPOD, no "CDC" on the CD menu

I have the "UPDATED/UPGRAED" IDRIVE interface.. Keypad is displayed..
