Living in Toronto and our winters here (esp the salt) I'd stay away from the KW SC coils.

Care to elaborate as to why???

How are they more vulnerable to salt than other kw coils?

I've heard the Street Comforts are made of anodized and not stainless steel thus will rust over time. It all depends on where you live.

Sorry for the crappy iphone pics.
I'm itching to get coilovers and rims but I'm afraid I'll have to sacrifice on the ride comfort with them. I've never been in a car with comfortable coilovers.

Which coilovers would you suggest for the winters here in Toronto? I was thinking of pick these one up.

Lots of options out there. Depends on your budget and intentions with the car, ie. tracking it etc. I remember seeing stainless steel versions of the Street Comfort now that I think of it. Perhaps I'm confusing them with another KW made coil.

If you guys can get in touch with Andrew at RedlineMotorworks then it's a possibility. He mentioned last year if in future people are interested you can get the price of 1450$ cash delivered with a 5 person group buy (For KWs).

this is still my only gripe with the V1's can be pretty harsh sometimes, but I suppose that is the tradeoff. I'm actually thinking of ditching the V1's in favour of Koni adjustable shocks and springs. Had good results in the past with this setup.

Just FYI,

http://www.kw-suspension.com/us/kw_p...nPage=overview

Street Comforts are indeed stainless steel ("inox-line")

ALL KW's r stailness steel, the non stainless steel "KWs" r branded under the name "ST" (Suspension techniques). they r identical to KW V1 except they r anodized instead of stainless steel body and uses lower grade internals

KW V1

I'm about to order V1's from the states at a good price from forum vendor. PM me for more info.

I will probably pickup at border to avoid high shipping costs.

I also heard that despite the stainless steel, KW's rust in the winter. I'd probably go H&R

If that is true then I may as well just get the ST coil overs and save the extra +$500

Second picture is just last week when I got my BBS GT4 RE 's put on. Raised a little more than a cm all around.

The rear was at the lowest setting and the front was a few threads from the lowest setting. I usually count upwards, the number of threads from the bottom. Don't think staggered setup would affect it too much assuming you chose the right tire specs...but yes I do agree the front does look a bit higher in my picture but it could also be due to my weird spacer setup at the time (12mm all around).
