I just got an email regarding the Annual Grillin’ and Chillin’ Picnic put on by the Everglades chapter of BMW CCA to take place this Saturday at Okeeheelee Park. It goes from 10am-5pm and is $5 for non-chapter members. There will be a "cleanest car show," but only members may enter. Full text of email below...

Catered Sonny’s Real Pit BBQ served from NOON till 2:00pm
50/50 RAFFLE to benefit Street Survival Teen Driving Program

OUR Community Service Charity FOOD DRIVE:
Please bring to donate non-perishable food: canned goods, rice, pasta,
etc. Other items needed: toothpaste/brushes, bath soap, shampoo, etc

The Car Show is a People’s Choice of the Cleanest Car.
All members are encouraged to enter and each chapter member/associate
gets ONE vote. Cleanest Car Show registration will close at NOON – (no
exceptions). Please enter your car (BMW’s only and Members only) at the
time you sign in (the waiver). For those entering the car show you will be
grouped together in the parking area. There is plenty of parking.

There is a small playground at the pavilion but there are larger
ones elsewhere. The Nature Center is a great place to visit. There is a
heart trail, bike trail and places to take a stroll along the lake.

Bring your sunscreen and hats. IF you want to sit in the grassy
area, out from under the pavilion, bring chairs or a blanket.

IF you would like to donate something as a door prize, that will be
great. It is appreciated!

The Park allows beer, wine and champagne but not hard liquor. You
may bring your own adult beverages and water too (no soda drinks). The
chapter will supply a limited amount of adult beverages. DRINK responsibly
and have a designated driver.

Non-Members $5.00 per person (children under 10 years of age –FREE!)
Please RSVP by May 27 – Friday.

Use the entrance to the park at the TCL at Pinehurst and Forest Hill blvd: the
entrance to the GOLF COURSE. Follow the signs the pavilion is on the right – up on
the mound...
