N55 3" DP & exhaust.

I was just thinking about DP and exhaust and i am curious as to why a company hasn't made a straight 3" DP to 3 " exhaust for the n55?

Why do u we making these two outlet downpipes and exhaust? I would think a single straight 3" DP alone to a single 3" exhaust to a dual setup will do just fine...

Well I think a company would have to make both the downpipe and exhaust. Fitment would be a bitch otherwise...

That's a great idea. Local exhasut shop could do the whole job for 1500. 1000 for a dump pipe...... come on.

This is true but with us having the procede/tune plus mods, the flow rate on a 3 inch or a 3.5 inch really makes minimal difference for the twin scroll turbo. And when we add meth, fmic, and nitrous the 3.5 inch will hold plenty.

I have a exhaust shop that will make me a DP and full exhaust for $400.00 bucks. Should i ask them to make 3" or 3.5?

I am going to take the car in today and talk to them...

My idea exhaust is to get 3.5 all the way to a electric cut out area. then the rest can be stock exhaust piping to the stock muffler and tips. Maybe find some way to add a cat or something to the back to get rid of the smell.
Then when i want to open her up i have the electric cut out for fun times..
