Opinions Wanted - New 335xi with 90 miles

Just came back from the dealership. They are offering a lease special on a 335xi pre-June price increase (car mfg'd April 08).

The car has been on the lot since 5/16 (wholesale date), but they state it is not a demo. It's the only 335xi w/manual trans. so people have been test driving it.

With 90 test miles, do I need to worry about wear and tear on the clutch?

Garage List
Yes, the car would be under full manufacture warranty and free maintenance as well.

Ninety miles is a lot of test drives, if you consider most test drives are about five to ten miles (so 9 test drives at the bare minimum and 18 to 20 at the maximum). I would say $500 over invoice is a too much. Go for $500 under or straight invoice. But if you like the car and want it, $500 isn't all that big a deal, now is it?

Your car will be fine. I took my lease with 142 on the odometer. These cars are fine after being run hard on a test drive. It happens more than you guys want to realize

I've leased cars with 300 miles on them before after dealertrades and stuff - they are fine. When we dealer trade with cars from San Diego they have whatever miles on them + 110 miles just for driving it up here.

They could be dealer trade miles too.

90 miles is really nothing to worry about. Sure the car was probably test driven by many people but it's not like they could thrash it with the CA next to them.
