Just ran the BMWhat app and didn't see any parameters with SCR written within them. Saw these two, do they apply?:

Injection quantity current value

Injection rate set point

that's sick then high 11 for sure is possible with meth and bigger intercooler

I'm not sure what those would apply to? If it's not related to the fuel injectors, then there's not many other "injection" things it could be referring to.

From the BMW AdvancedDiesel pdf:

A temperature sensor in the exhaust pipe after the diesel particulate filter (i.e. before the SCR catalytic converter) and the metering module also influences this function. This is because injection of the urea-water solution only begins at a minimum temperature of 200 °C.

So I'd guess if you watch those parameters and nothing starts injecting until the 200C threshold, then that would be a good clue it's refering to the urea injection.

I wrote Stan last week asking for an update on the pipe progress. No response yet though. Income tax refund $$$$ will be earmarked for reprogramming, pipe and EGR corking/removal. I want to do it like TDI where the cooler is gone and coolant line bypasses. Like the idea of not worrying about cooler crack and coolant getting into inlet flow path.

We're waiting for US spec M57 version of what you already have. The pipe is a little different. Ecotune 3D scanned a US DPF and is developing the bypass pipe for US market based upon the scan data. I'm sure there is alot more to do than just fabricate the pipe to match the ends and spacing between. We are wondering about Stan's progress.

Are we thinking the pipe is the same for the US spec 335d and the US spec X5 35d?

Ecotune sent me a response email:

Quote:
Dear Paul,

Thanks for your enquiry.

My apologies for the delay in getting in touch with you and in the manufacture of the US specific pipe.

I can assure you we are making great progress in the development of our US specific downpipe however, we will not release this product till we are happy with the results.

The announcement will be made on our website and on our facebook so I will ask you to periodically check for an update.

I appreciate your patience and I am confident you will be delighted with the results.

Best wishes,

Campbell Booth

maybe/hopefully they are working on it until they can trick the DDE into showing monitors ready because, you know, they dont want to lose 75% of the market.

335D dpf delete

Hey Guys, Its been awhile since I was one here to see the progress of the 335D stuff. Could you just update me what is available for the US version. I would like to get rid of my DPF, DEF injection, and EGR cooler. What are the steps that I need to take to get this done.

Thanks for your help,
Joshy

I've been quite happy with the OEM canister being gutted of the DPF section but keeping the DOC in place...
