n52 compression test issue
Today, my brother did a compression test on his E90 325i EU version.
so here are the results. CYLINDER 1: 15bar(around 220lbs) spark plug clean CYLINDER 2: 14bar(around 209lbs) spark plug dirty CYLINDER 3: 15bar(around 220lbs) spark plug little smoked CYLIDNER 4: 15bar(around 220lbs) spark plug clean CYLIDNER 5: 14.3bar (around 210 lbs) spark plug clean CYLIDNER 6: 15bar(around 220lbs) spark plug clean What should be the correct pressure on the cylinders? ( the engine was preheat before the mesurements) Cylinder 2 Cylinder 3 Cylinder 5 / |

I'm not sure what it should be exactly but that looks good. How many miles?

Either a leak or valve guide. That's a quite a lot of oil!

thats quite a bit indeed! He should be seeing plenty of blue smoke if its the valves or blow by.
Could it be a faulty head gasket (doubtful based on the pressure test results). It could also be a faulty oil water separator this was pretty common with the M54 engine.

dang that looks bad no matter what it is... I recently changed my plugs at 100k miles and did not look nearly as that... Keep us posted.
