Clean Sweep questions

I just noticed that the CL-SSI has to be used with the clean sweep 441 DSP. Has anyone tried running it alone, DSP alone, or together?

Since I've already bought it Im going to buy the Clean Sweep DSP unless anyone knows that the clean DSP can be used alone and won't notice a difference.

Please let me know any ideas or experience with either or both.

I am in the same ship as you. I purchased the JL cleansweep (not installed yet), but later realised that you might need both to get it working properly!

Read this user review, if you haven't already.

I might swap it for the Audison BitTen Dsp, which seems to be plug and play.

I had been so excited to get it working. Now I'm stuck between selling it or buying the rest of it. Have you heard it working on anyone's car?

- summing device is only required if you need the inputs to be... summed into a full range signal.
- Cleansweep works if the signal is full range. No need of any summing device otherwise.
- HiFi system does not require a Cleansweep or a summing device at all.
- a Logic7/Individual Audio system should be coded HiFi instead of using a Cleansweep/summing device. It is cheaper and more effective.
- a Stereo system does not require a summing device if only the front OEM HU/iDrive outputs are input into the Cleansweep.
- a Stereo system with an adjustable tweeter level crossover at the front component speakers does not require a Cleansweep.

Please search for more details. This horse have been beaten enough already.

Hey guys just a quick update. Had the XD 6/600 installed and sounds great. There's a bit more bass and vocals a bit clearer. I actually think ill wait a bit longer before getting any component speakers put in. The sub will be the last to go in as long as the under seat subs don't blow up. Lol.
