An M3 replica rear bumper for the base E92?

Really? Hmm. Maybe I will just go this route instead of Mtech to change it up a little. Any idea how much you guys will be selling it for yet?

I wouldn't buy that version from Magnatuning - if you notice it is made of fiberglass

The reps sold by forum vendors are much better as they are made from polystyrene.

Plus looks as if it has dual exhaust tip outlet - if you currently have E92 with single side exhaust, that means a custom exhaust setup to go to dual and snake around that trunk storage compartment that hangs down in the way...

Awesome news! Are they going to be tweaked to fit the stock exhaust alignment, or is it going to require use to realign the exhaust?

^^The E90 M3 rep looks like the dual tips need to be added, and the pipes shifted towards the center.

It doesnt really matter for the rear and side skirts if its fiber glass or poly. You would almost never get ur rear damaged because it's too low, neither on the sides. The problem is, if you hit a pole or something, but again, if that happens you need a repaint and fix anyways so for rear and sides, it doesnt matter what material it is, so long as it looks good

Juan,

I disagree, in addition to Fiberglass cracking easily not easily repaired, it is typically hit or miss fitment. ABS or Polyurethane offers much better fit and finish and is easier to control production.

I never really thought it would come with tips, but if the rep bumper keeps true to the M3 exhaust alignment and requires us to modify the exhaust, thats just another barrier for people to buy the bumper. New tips are minor, but once you change the alignment, then not only is that another cost, but it really limits the possibility of reselling the exhaust to people with the same bumper. I have Vanguard V2 at the moment, but might sell down the line, so realigning it wouldn't be a logical option for me.

the exhaust wouldn't be a problem for me...I was alreay looking to change it up a bit. But from the pics, it looks as if the stock tips would be fine, but you'll have some extra space, on the outside. But IDK, just hope its not $1011 to get this one.

Exactly the reason for my post regarding NOT using fiberglass body panels...
