headlight problem
the left headlight is extremely bright, but the right one is extremly dull. theres still light coming out from the right headlight, but its no where as bright as it should be. with light still coming, meaning not a problem with a burnt bulb?
whats causing this? does the idrive or bmw computer give you a warning if u have something wrong with your headlights? |

the answer to the second question is yes. The car knows when there is a problem with different components. It will explicitly tell you what component has a problem thru the iDrive. Sounds like your bulb or whatever isn't failing big enough yet to trigger an iDrive failure. If it's obvious to a non-enthusiast, it'll probably be covered under warranty.

Looks like if you want the bulb replaced, you will have to do it yourself.

aim your headlight...
one is likely aiming lower than the other, and at the angle you are looking, one looks bright b/c its shining right into your eyes, and the other looks dull because it is shining away from you directly... theres a diy on here...literally takes a phillips screwdriver and 2 seconds of time...try it out, its free
