LOL this thread at it's worst is still the most civil discussion going on between tunes right now

It's hard for a 6MT to beat AT or DCT. The problem is keeping boost up during the shift. The AT/DCT will shift and the computer will continue to keep the boost up. Unless you shift and stay on the throttle you will lose revs/boost and you are done.

BMS has a free 18ohm to 15ohm upgrade program. Well worth it if using an E85 mix!

You should see the basemap I send out lol. I send something that will allow me to see how the car is running before I start playing with things. It's a little more fun to drive than an OTS map but is severely lacking compared to where I put the cars after observing the logs. It's custom made for each person and their octane, mods, etc. but its nothing even close to ready for roll racing.

I like tuning / tuner discussions. I rarely get fired up or inflammatory so its usually rather civil from my end - I just always set myself up for disappointment because the responses I usually get are filled with parroting rhetoric.

the op and i ran again after he had a revised protune, each on the same amount of e85 mixture fuel, and he jumped out a car on me from the start. in the time that we were racing, i coudlnt pass him. in the vid, it seemed like i would have maybe started walking up top, but when i shut down, he was clearly still ahead.

Then i got a jb4 g5 board, and then a cobb ap, and ran that in combination to my jb4 g5. Car was much faster, because i didnt flatline timing between shifts anymore. havent ran the op since, but he has decided to sell the car, and move on to an e93 vert 335i last time i checked. still wants to be fast, but he also wants a to have a really nice looking vert! (wish you could have one without the extra weight penalty though.)

I would have started in a higher gear for that 40 MPH roll. The highest PSI for my stage 2+ Cobb OFS map is from 3300 RPM - 4300 RPM. I would have started around 3k and rode it out till about 6300RPM.
