Dinan upgrades

Anyone in the Seattle area done the stage 2 ECU upgrade from Dinan or have the free flow exhaust on their 335? I'm thinking about both upgrades, but want to make sure it's worth it in terms of performance. I'm also concerned about the way the FFE will sound.

Any opinions?

You will get more performance out of an aftermarket company, but if warranty is also a concern, I guess you have no other choice...

I don't doubt it, but that's part of the reason I'd like to see what other people think and perhaps get to hear/see it myself. From reading through the postings about some other tune companies, I feel like going with a more professional shop like Dinan could be a good plus for the wear/tear on the car as well.

Thats debatable.

I'm pretty sure some tuners here have much more technology involved with the car than Dinan.

Dinan was a no-brainer for me, especially here in Seattle, where BMW Seattle is a Signature Series Dealer. They have a great realtionship with Dinan. Michael (the GSM) knows Steve personally.

Their stuff is stupid-expensive, but having a vehicle under warranty and not having to futz with removing parts for dealer visits is totally worth the premium to me. I am very happy with the combo I'm running and will continue to upgrade to new Dinan parts as they release them.

As far as the exhaust . . . it is certainly audible, but not obnoxious.
