Oh man!!! I feel your pain!!!!
I freakout everytime there's a dip lol. Got to reverse park these cars. No replacement as nothing is cracked (from the pics). It will just be a respray of the entire bumper, unless you're doing an insurance claim. A new bumper would be $1500 unpainted excl labour etc I'm guessing. I use Panel One on o'riordan st alexandria, but there are a few other luxury car panel shops down that stretch of road as well. |

not a biggie to get fixed, but a PITA! time for a set of splitters?? they will cover that nicely for a couple of hundred. while you are at it get some decent tyres and a black grill

Protection you ask, well I am not catholic so i am a big fan of protection . I have a slime kit http://www.cabelas.com/product/Slime...h-All+Products these chaps deliver to australia cheaper than the local rep. plus if you have a cabin check out their lamps |

Ooooo all this talk of protection, slime and cabins
Thanks for the sinful link EDIT: Whoa $50! that's sooo much cheaper than the continental kit! Has anyone actually used one of these 'slime' kits? |

I have asked that question many times and got lots of people recommending it but never anyone saying 'well it was a dark night and i heard a pssssssssss coming from the rear'
But the tech has been around for a while and at the end of the day, the worst that I can imagine is I call roadside assistance for a tow. plus the last time (touch wood) I had a flat was in the girlfriends car 20 years ago, ahh the days before kids |

Well I've had 2 tyre farts in the past year (4 in the past 2 years). One driving down to Melb - thankfully that time the nail was small and leakage was very minor.
So I've gotten abit paranoid. EDIT: Does the slime kit fit nicely in that pointless void underneath the boot? Last edited by Haydrick; 12-21-2011 at 08:28 PM.. |

ouch Charlie!!
Cheapest option is to get one of the portable scratch removal guys out to fix it up for ya. I know a couple of guys over here in WA but that doesn't help ya. Hopefully u get it sorted man

Do they just spray a small section? and how do them match / blend metallic paint or is that not an option? What about clear coat? |

When I say portable.. i actually meant "mobile"
One of them is www.touchupguys.com.au which is a franchise.. I didn't end up using them because they needed the car to be parked outdoors, offstreet with access to a power outlet. I live in an apartment so no go there I think they will smoothen the scratches, blend and spray paint only a section. I'm not sure about clearcoat.. I assume they will apply that too? Or do as pcock says, just get a splitter |

I was trying to think of the word too, 'Mobile'
These guys generally go a good job. After all it is their own franchise most of the time. I think they have more pride than the guys in the panel shops. After all they are fronting the client directly.
