Hello guys, I just want to confirm if this would work on my 2011 328 sedan XI

I ve done some research already , and I think the RWD lowering springs will work on a XI , also I believe this kit is the one that does not lower the car compare to the sportline version of the EIbach

don't waste your time and buy something will work for sure for your XI

H&R offer it and you will get a good drop.

the only problem with h&r springs is that they are too low and too harsh. I ve done quite a bit of research on this

I also compared the specs and eibach is actually very close to stock spring specs, Im not looking for eibach sport line which is also too low. I just want a very mild drop ( almost like m sport suspension) , I also want something that rides close to stock.

Im looking for eibach pro which is the less aggressive. I drive the car all year round and I already had a lowered car before which was too low and it was a pain in the butt during the snow.

I posted this the other day on the XI page.

I tracked down the xdrive eibach springs on the German eibach site for my 328i Xdrive. I know that another member has posted the correct European part number before but I was interested and wanted to see which chassis shared front and rear springs.

I found that the 328i rwd and xdrive share the same front springs but different rear springs. I also found that the 328i RWD wagon shares the same front and rear springs as the xdrive sedan. While I was a little nervous ordering from Germany, I did receive them with no issues. With this new found info though, I could have ordered US wagon part number 20106.140.

interesting find , so Im guessing ordering the RWD wagon is the way to go instead or the e90 RWD spring. I m assuming you also have a XI like me.

Looking at the specs

both have the same drop and specs as far as I can tell. However the wagon springs are more expensive. I m not too sure what other difference there is .

That does't make any sense at all. Two 328i could have different springs depending on the equipment. Manual vs automatic, sunroof vs no sunroof, coupe vs sedan vs vagon, non sport vs sport, and so on.... Impossible that 328xi and 328i would share the front springs. The rear yes, I can see that. but the front? Slim possibility. Isn't only if this springs would fit and work but whether they will work properly. They will be different rate and length. Just by springs that are design for the specific model.

Aftermarket springs like eibach and H&R don’t typically have different springs based on auto vs manual trans or trim levels. So while the manufacturer may use a range of springs, I wouldn’t expect eibach to.

I’ll post up the individual part numbers for front and rear springs shortly once I upload a pic to imgur.

Note that the front lowering is the same but the rear lowering is different, with the wagon being lowered more, presumably due to the extra weight.

They both have the same drop but to Feuer's point, the vehicle weights are different so one would expect the springs to be different. While the XI sedan and RWD wagon springs indicate Front Axle, Lowering ca. 30 mm and Rear Axle, Lowering ca. 25 mm
with General Certification (ABE), Axle load front axle to 1045 kg, Axle Load RA to 1200 kg

The RWD sedan indicates Front Axle, Lowering ca. 30 mm Rear Axle, Lowering ca. 25 mm
with General Certification (ABE), Axle load front axle to 1045 kg, Axle Load RA to 1135 kg, with the difference being in the rear axle load rating.

Additionally, in the XI sedan, the rear springs (which the same rear springs as used in the RWD wagon) are only rated at 15-20 mm drop, indicating the rear of the wagon is heavier than the rear of the sedan, as expected.
